ABOUT US
There are 4 of us on the project. I take care of the programming, modeling, animations, scenario part. The other 2 people take care of the voices of the secondary characters, music and sound effects of the game. The 4th person is the son of my best friend who took care of the voices of the main character. They are all in the entertainment world, which helped a lot with the quality of the voices. Subsequently, another friend's son also volunteered to do a second voice in the game.
I program in Lua and use the Visionaire Studio game engine. Engine specialized in point and click games. The Déponia series was entirely produced under this engine.
The gameplay is 100% point and click, with many references to traditional points and clicks, such as monkey island, day of the tentacles,… I'm talking about the gameplay and not the graphics.
We therefore remain in an investigation and humor style, with the search for clues, collecting objects, dialogues between various characters,…
Passionate about this type of game, the project was originally done just for fun but ultimately took on proportions that motivated me to develop a complete game with a scenario. I don't claim to be a great developer. I'm just passionate about what I do and like to share it with fans of this type of game.
